What is the Million Â̾ÞÈËÊÓÆµs® Collaboration?
The Million Â̾ÞÈËÊÓÆµs® Collaboration to Prevent Â̾ÞÈËÊÓÆµ Disease and Stroke (MHC) was established in 2015 to bring together national, state and local partner to implement Million Â̾ÞÈËÊÓÆµs® strategies. MHC organizations work together to disseminate evidence-based cardiovascular disease prevention strategies and resources, promote the use of consistent cardiovascular health messaging, and provide opportunities for sharing best practices and evidence-based approaches by state and local partners. Â̾ÞÈËÊÓÆµ commitment to Million Â̾ÞÈËÊÓÆµs® The Â̾ÞÈËÊÓÆµ (AHA) supports Million Â̾ÞÈËÊÓÆµs® by integrating strategies in its work with healthcare providers and health systems, leveraging the reach of communication channels including specific meetings, as well as identifying solutions for policy initiatives. AHA, in partnership with the National Forum on Â̾ÞÈËÊÓÆµ Disease and Stroke Prevention guides the efforts of the MHC.
The following MHC member organizations support this commitment by disseminating tools and resources, promoting Million Â̾ÞÈËÊÓÆµs® priorities and engaging stakeholders in strategy implementation.

Million Â̾ÞÈËÊÓÆµs® 2022 Goals
Million Â̾ÞÈËÊÓÆµs® focuses on the priorities of keeping people healthy, optimizing care and reaching priority populations to achieve the goals listed below to meet the aim of 1 million fewer heart attacks and strokes in the next 5 years:
- 20% reduction in sodium intake
- 20% reduction in tobacco use
- 20% reduction in physical inactivity
- 80% performance on the ABCS Clinical Quality Measures
- 70% participation in cardiac rehab among eligible patients
